The Genius Tesla, once declared that the keys to the universe is in the frequency of 3,6,9. If we take Tesla’s quote, and apply the key to understanding the sequence, we begin to understand that this key, is held in the vibration of the tone.
Everything vibrates and moves to motion, whether the human eye is able to visually perceive this or not. Science can now verify the nature of vibration, and how it relates to human existence. Silence, is often drowned out by the subtle sounds of nature, such as the bus, humming along the road, the street lights, all have a different, more muted vibrating presence, along with internal breathing and the endless sounds originating from inside the body. Is it any wonder, nobody is able to hear the celestial sounds of heaven!
Plato described astronomy and music as ‘twinned’ studies of sensual recognition: astronomy for the eyes, music for the ears, and both requiring knowledge of numerical proportions. I agree with his concept, when both sound and vision are harmonised sensually, it truly is music for the soul! (I found that the ‘de-sensitization method’ in meditation works wonders!)
In a theory known as the Harmony of the Spheres, Pythagoras proposed that the Sun, Moon and planets all emit their own unique vibration, which gives off a sound of a hum, based on the planets orbital revolution, and that the quality of life on Earth reflects the tenor of celestial sounds which are physically imperceptible to the human ear.
Aristotle also reported on the harmony by saying, in a critical exposition of the pythagorean notion. “We should see evidently, after all that proceedes, that, when they talk to us about a harmony resultant of the movement of those bodies, same as the harmony of the sounds that are entwined, there is brilliant comparison being done undoubtedly, but vain; that is not the truth nowise.”
What this means is to hear the music of the spheres, you need to embrace the sound of silence. By learning to appreciate the stillness of silence, one begin’s to learn the music of the spheres! Which are physically perceptible, during deep silence or meditation.
The first time I heard the spherical music, I was deaf at the time. Which means, sound was not distorted from the external environment, I was able to hear the music, from the other side! Because voice and silence make themselves distinguishable – one from the other!
Because we are surrounded by so much sound, we rarely get a chance to stop and listen. Everything around us is buzzing and vibrating to a rythym, the fridge freezer, the tv on standby, the cars along the nearby road. Everything is moving, whether we can see the movements or not. This means we cannot tell the noise, the thing is, we have never had the contrast of silence which would be its polar opposite.
Harmony of the Spheres, is an ancient philosophical concept that regards proportions in the movements of celestial bodies—the Sun, Moon, and and the planets as a form of music. This “music” is not usually thought to be literally audible, but a harmonic, mathematical or religious concept.
Boethius in his book De Musica: described the three branches of Medieval concept
- musica mundana (celestial)
- musica humana (internal human sounds)
- musica quae in quibusdam constituta est instrumentis (sounds made by popular singers)
According to early philosophers, the heavenly “music of the spheres” is heard in the Region of Concrete Thought, the lower region of the mental plane, which is an ocean of harmony.
If each individual is a unique universe as a singularity, The Universe is the living organism, surrounded by Divine Air (or more literally ‘Breath’), which permeates and animates the whole cosmos and filters through to individual creatures. The individual is said to act as a microcosm in which all the laws in the macrocosm of the Universe are at work.
Vibration is energy in motion: A molecule can absorb a photon that vibrates at the same frequency as one of its normal vibrational modes. That is, if a molecule, initially in its ground vibrational state, could be excited so that it vibrated at a given frequency, then that molecule could absorb a photon that vibrates at the same frequency.
The oscillations may be periodic, such as the motion of a pendulum—or random, such as the movement of a tyre on a gravel road.
Vibration can be desirable: for example, the motion of a tuning fork, the reed in a woodwind instrument or harmonica, a mobile phone, or the cone of a loudspeaker. In many cases, however, vibration is undesirable, wasting energy and creating unwanted sound.
Sound also has its healing qualities, which can be accessed via the solfeggio frequencies. According to Professor Willi Apel, the origin of the ancient Solfeggio scale can be traced back to a Medieval hymn to John the Baptist. The hymn has this peculiarity that the first six lines of the music commenced respectively on the first six successive notes of the scale, and thus the first syllable of each line was sung to a note one degree higher that the first syllable of the line that preceded it. Because the music held mathematic resonance, the original frequencies were capable of spiritually inspiring mankind to be more ‘god-kind’.
The main six Solfeggio frequencies and their resonating qualities are:

- 741 Hz-[Sol] – Expression/Solutions
- 852 Hz-[La] – Returning to Spiritual Order
The Pythagorean method of reductionism, whereby reducing large numbers down into a single number. The values of all digits in the number are added up. When after the first addition the number still contains more than one digit, the process is repeated. E.g. 396, when added together 369, can be reduced to 3+6+9 = 18. and subsequently reduced again 1+8 = 9. therefore the number frequency 369, becomes 9. the next number on the scale is a 4+1+7= 12. 1+2 =3, the third is 528, =15, = 6. the scale then repeats itself again. 639, becomes 9. Do you see the repetition of 396? This is the first frequency!
By using the Pythagorean method of reduction. Each scale is reduced down the 6, 3 and 9. The sequence is repeated. No other numbers are valid, only the three digits of 3,6 & 9!
Every three numbers, regardless of where they fall on the scale, are either 3, 6 or 9!
Although this sequence itself doesn’t produce the sound of the spheres, the other side of sound is where you will hear these celestial melodies!
